Cold Rooms
Cold Room Floor Panels
Available in 80, 100, 120, 150 and 200 mm thicknesses with 304-grade stainless steel and plywood options
As Alemdar Cooling, we manufacture floor panels for industrial cold stores and controlled environments. Our floor panels are engineered for the HoReCa sector, food processing, catering, pharmaceuticals, logistics and similar fields to ensure temperature control, energy efficiency and hygiene. Each floor panel is produced in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
Product Features & Advantages
Alemdar cold room floor panels are designed as multilayer structures that take into account intensive pedestrian and equipment traffic. With a PU insulation core, Plywood or 304-grade stainless steel top surfaces, and OSB/Plywood backing, the system targets long service life and stability in cold store floors.
- Surface & Substrate: Plywood top surface or 304-grade stainless steel top surface; OSB or Plywood backing underneath.
- Insulation Density: 40±2 kg/m³ polyurethane (PU) core.
- Thermal Conductivity: λ 0.020–0.023 W/m·K according to EN 13165.
- Panel Thicknesses: 80, 100, 120, 150, 200 mm (same as wall/roof panels).
- Panel Widths: 230 mm, 530 mm, 1130 mm.
- Lock/Joint: Depending on the project, eccentric cam-lock or tongue-and-groove joints can be applied.
- Hygiene & Maintenance: Stainless surfaces are suitable for food processing areas and maintain their finish with regular cleaning.
- Design Approach: Final load-bearing capacity depends on project design, subfloor preparation and load distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is a cold room floor panel?
A floor panel is a multilayer PU-core element used at the base of a cold room to reduce heat loss and withstand impact and traffic loads. The top surface can be plywood or 304-grade stainless steel, with OSB/Plywood backing underneath.
What is the difference between Plywood and 304 stainless surfaces?
Plywood is an economical, practical choice for dry areas and general storage. 304 stainless is preferred where hygiene and chemical resistance are critical; it is easy to clean and offers high corrosion resistance.
Are the thickness options the same as wall/roof panels?
Yes. Standard thicknesses are 80, 100, 120, 150 and 200 mm. Selection considers target room temperature and potential thermal bridges at the floor.
How is the load-bearing capacity determined?
Capacity depends on pedestrian/vehicle traffic, rack post loads, equipment wheel pressure, subfloor preparation and the use of load distribution plates. Final values are confirmed by project-specific structural evaluation.
Do you use a cam-lock system?
Yes. All our panels feature eccentric cam-locks to simplify installation. Using an 8 mm Allen key, panels can be fastened together at the lock points for tight, stable joints.
What are your cleaning & maintenance recommendations?
For stainless and plywood surfaces, use non-abrasive products and methods that limit excessive water exposure. Follow manufacturer guidance for detergents and tools.
How do you price floor panels?
Pricing depends on surface type (Plywood/304 stainless), panel thickness, total quantity, labor and project specifics. Contact us for a project-specific quotation.
